If I’ve been quiet of late, it’s because I decided, quite on a lark, to ditch the single life and tie the knot with my lovely Filipina bride. There we are in the photo.
Just kidding. That guy’s way more alpha than I am, and I couldn’t grow his beard to save my life.
Getting serious, I found this heartwarming tale over on heartiste. All those older fellas who tell us that SE Asia has the best women: this one is for you.
Sounds like a shotgun marriage situation. Yet another grand tale about the fruits of fornication and trapping a man.
Back in the bad old days of marrying because you knocked up a lady for the sake of the kid…it was noble because things like no-fault or victim signalling weren’t in wimminz back pocket. Now it’s the first bullets they use.
Come to think of it…having the kid out of wedlock before the marriage I have yet to see any story of it leading to a good marriage.
I’ve never seen an attractive Filapina in real life, but since all wimmenz are the same expecting something different is a fool’s game.
I don’t recommend marriage .. never have and never will .. [references on request]
But, having been an ExPat (i.e. living and working in a foreign land) .. I can say .. if you do decide to marry .. never bring her back here (e.g. Western Cultures).
If you decide to marry a foreigner .. stay put.
This guy learned a valiable lesson at full cost .. while the rest of us can learn from it at no (minimal) cost.
Eddie Murphy had a great bit (30 years ago?) about getting a bone-in-the-nose African woman to marry, but being sure NOT to bring her back to the U.S. “Eddie, what have you done for me lately?”
